Referrals in Eightfold

Hi there,

We recruit across multiple business entities in Eightfold, and I was wondering if there's a way to view all referrals for a specific business entity, rather than by individual role. It would give us a much better overall view of referral volume instead of having to open each job separately to see the referrals.

Hi @Alizee, Yes,  for an aggregate view, the best path is Insights / Analytics → Referral Activity Report, not opening each req individually.

That dashboard is designed to show referral activity across the organization, including referred applications, referred candidates, top referred candidates, and top referring employees. It should give a much better roll-up of referral volume than reviewing the New Referrals view inside each individual job.

A few caveats:

  • If the business entity is mapped as a position attribute such as Business Unit, Department, Hiring Company, Entity, Region, etc., it can typically be used as a dashboard filter or added through dashboard customization. Eightfold’s TA dashboards commonly support slicing data by fields like Business Unit, Job Function, Country, Department, and Position.
  • The standard Referral Activity Report is focused on referral reporting, not necessarily recruiter workflow management. So it’s good for volume, funnel, and tracking; if recruiters need to actively work candidates by entity, that may require a custom dashboard/report or Data Hub export.
  • Access may depend on permissions/provisioning. The Referral Activity Report is listed as a TA dashboard for analyzing all referred applications and requires the talent reports permission plus the referral activity dashboard gate in some configurations.

If the entity field isn’t already available in the report, a dashboard admin/CSM can explore adding it via the Dashboard Authoring Console or a Data Hub/custom report, since Eightfold supports modifying QuickSight dashboards and creating custom analyses from standard datasets.
