Hi @CRatner, Thanks for your question. I hope this is helpful.Â
In Eightfold interview feedback forms, there isn’t currently a supported way to insert a true “blank space” or a static line of text (like a separator) between questions.
Recommended workaround
The best approach is to use existing question types to simulate this. For example, you can add a dedicated question that acts as a section header or instructional divider. A common method is:
- Add a Text Box or Text Area question
- Use the question prompt to display your header or instructions (e.g., “Candidate Experience Feedback”)
This provides a clear visual break while staying within supported functionality.
Additional guidance
- For open-ended or instructional content, Text Area / Text Box works best due to flexibility and readability
- Some question types (e.g., rating, checkbox, upload) may not be ideal depending on the workflow—especially in AI Interviewer or screening scenarios
How forms are managed in Eightfold
Interview feedback forms are created and managed in:
- Admin Console → Feedback & Assessments → Forms Library / Feedback Forms
From there, admins can build forms using supported question types such as:
- Text, Text Area, Rich Text
- Checkbox, Multi-choice, Radio, Dropdown
- Skill Rating, Star Rating, Upload
Attaching forms to interviews
- Feedback forms are selected during interview scheduling
- In AI Interviewer workflows, the feedback template is chosen as part of the setup process
About custom HTML or external forms
Eightfold does not support injecting custom HTML, scripts, or external form elements into feedback forms. The builder is limited to native question types.
There is a JSON Editor available for advanced configuration, but it still operates within Eightfold’s supported structure (not custom rendering). For example, you can adjust things like switching a field from text to textarea, but not add non-question elements like spacers or dividers.
