Is it possible to add an option to "Add to Community" on the import page?

Currently, we have option to add tags and add to pipeline. Since we don't have ability to select more than 200 at a time for add to community from candidates page, this would greatly improve process for our campus sourcing and DEI efforts and decrease manual work and errors in uploading.

If you go to the community pipeline > Import prospects > then automatically actions related to community will come up.

Hi @shragr - Yes, it is possible to add the "Add to Community" option on the import page. To do this, you need to follow specific steps within the Admin Console.

1. For Community Workflow:
- Open Talent Acquisition > Community Workflow > Configuration tab.
- Scroll down to the List of Workflows for a given community type section. In any workflow that you want to modify, open the Actions field to make changes.

2. For Pipeline:
- Open Talent Acquisition > Pipeline & Workflow > Configuration tab > Leads subtab.
- Scroll to the Action Buttons section, where you will find the new action now supported, "Add to Community".

By following these steps, you can successfully integrate the "Add to Community" feature into your workflow. If you need further assistance, please refer to the image for detailed instructions.

I hope this helps. Please let me know.

Hi team, this config is not related to my ask. On the “Import resume” page, you can see “Add to pipeline” and similar to that we need “ Add to community”.

@shragr thanks for the clarification. We will be checking if there is a configuration that exists today or if not we might need to submit this as a product idea.

Also Bulk Action in TA was a feature that I wanted to highlight where we increased certain action limits to 5000. so wanted to flag that as well.  @shragr

Adding to this request for additional review:

Current Workflow
When recruiters or sourcing team members import a resume into Eightfold, they are able to create the candidate profile, but they must complete additional steps afterward to add the candidate to a Talent Community. This requires navigating away from the initial import process and manually updating the candidate profile after it has been created.

Proposed Enhancement
Add an “Add to Community” selection field or option on the resume import page, allowing the user to select one or more talent communities during the initial upload/import process.

Business Impact / Value
Adding this option would provide several benefits:

  • Improved efficiency: Recruiters and sourcing specialists could complete multiple actions within a single workflow instead of navigating to the candidate profile after the import is completed.

  • Better organization: Candidates could be categorized into the appropriate talent community immediately upon entry into the system.

  • Stronger sourcing workflows: Sourcing teams often import multiple resumes during sourcing activities. Being able to assign candidates to communities during import would streamline their process and reduce manual follow-up steps.

  • Improved talent pipeline management: Ensuring candidates are added to the appropriate community at the point of entry helps maintain stronger talent pipelines and supports future engagement campaigns.

Summary
While we understand that the resume import page is not currently configurable, adding an “Add to Community” option directly within the import workflow would be a quick and practical improvement that could benefit both recruiters and sourcing teams by streamlining candidate organization and reducing extra manual steps.
