Is there a way how to transfer contacts that signed up for an event (through event created in 8fold) to communities created in 8fold? As when I select registered profile in event there is no option to add to communities like when you just select profile in 8fold.

Hi @Zen, Yes, there are a couple of ways to get people who registered for an Eightfold Event into an existing Talent Community, depending on whether you want the process to be manual or automated.

Option 1: Manually add event registrants to the Community

Once the registrants exist as profiles in Eightfold (event registration automatically adds registrants and attendees to the platform as profiles), you can add them to a Community the standard way:

  • Select the prospects from the list.

  • Advance them to the "Added" stage within the specific Community pipeline.

Communities track "Added" as the total count of prospects moved to that stage using the Advance Stage action.

Option 2: Automate it with Workflow Automation (Tag → Community)

If you want a "transfer" behavior where registrants automatically land in a Community, the recommended approach is to use Workflow Automations:

  • Set a trigger to tag candidates based on their event activity (e.g., "Registered for Event X").

  • Automate the subsequent action to add those tagged candidates to your chosen Talent Community.

Important nuance: Campaign invites vs. Event candidates

If your workflow involves inviting people to an event via a campaign, please note:

  • Simply sending a campaign from an Event does not add those individuals to the Event’s candidate counts.

  • They will only appear in the Event list once they have officially registered via the link provided in the communication.
