What i see from our docs is:
- Eightfold does not officially support global two-way SMS end-to-end as a guaranteed capability (availability can vary by Twilio limitations and local carrier regulations).
- Two-way SMS is supported in Eightfold via Twilio webhooks (candidate replies route into Eightfold).
- The docs explicitly say to refer to Twilio’s SMS guide to verify whether two-way SMS is supported for the intended countries.
Countries explicitly reported as supporting two-way SMS in Eightfold
The documentation lists (non-exhaustive):
- South Africa (+27)
- Netherlands (+31)
- Belgium (+32)
- France (+33)
- Austria (+43)
- United Kingdom (+44)
- Denmark (+45)
- Chile (+56
- Australia (+61)
- Finland (+358)
- Israel (+972)
Important caveats for “worldwide”
- In some countries, recipients may receive SMS from a US number but cannot reply (i.e., not two-way).
- As a best practice, Twilio recommends using a local number wherever two-way SMS is needed.
