The Eightfold mobile application currently supports only a limited subset of Events V1 functionality and does not support Events V2 enhancements that are fully available on the web experience. This gap results in feature inconsistencies, incomplete data visibility, and branding mismatches between desktop and mobile.
Current Limitation
We are using Events V2 in Eightfold; however, the mobile app remains on Events V1, causing multiple functional and UI discrepancies.
Key Gaps & Issues
1. Event Team Display Mismatch
- On web (Events V2), multiple event team members are displayed correctly.
- On mobile, only the event creator is shown.
- Although multiple teams are saved in the teams Json database column and rendered correctly on web, this data is not currently supported or surfaced in the mobile app.
- Result: Desktop displays 4 team members, while mobile displays only 1.
2. Attended Count Limitations
- The attended count on mobile appears to match the web count, though there may be a delay in synchronization.
- On mobile, the attended count is display-only and is not clickable, whereas web supports interactive access to attendee details.
3. Missing Events V2 Features
- None of the Events V2 enhancements available on web are supported in the mobile app at this time.
- This includes feature gaps, UI limitations, and functionality differences.
4. Branding & Experience Inconsistencies
- Due to the lack of Events V2 support on mobile, branding and overall user experience are inconsistent between web and mobile platforms.
Business Impact
- Inconsistent user experience across platforms
- Reduced functionality for event teams using mobile
- Confusion for users who expect parity between web and mobile
- Limited adoption of mobile app for event-related workflows
Requested Enhancement
- Upgrade the Eightfold mobile app to fully support Events V2, including:
- Event team visibility (parity with web)
- Full attendee count functionality (including clickable access)
- Support for all Events V2 enhancements
- Consistent branding and UI across web and mobile

We understand that the mobile app is currently behind the Events V2 advancements and appreciate the transparency provided. As encouraged, we are submitting this enhancement request to formally track and prioritize mobile app improvements for Events V2.
