Out-of-Office Best Practices for Coordinators

We're exploring best practices for how coordinators manage being out of office. Specifically, we've identified a process gap: when candidates message a coordinator through Eightfold communications while the coordinator is OOO, they don’t receive the coordinator’s Outlook auto-reply which leaves a gap. 

Also wanting to explore options to route Eightfold communications to a backup coordinator during OOO periods to ensure coverage. I have seen the ‘email forwarding’ section in My Account but curious if the original , intended recipient would also receive a copy of that. 

Has anyone implemented a process or workaround for this at your company? Would love to hear what’s worked well for others!
