Interview Plan changes question:
1. Do I need to cancel all interviews in this #1 scenario? If I have 3 interviewers that have been assigned skills to assess feeding into the feedback form and 2 of the interviewers have been scheduled but 1 of the interviewers need to be swapped with an alternate before any invite was sent to the original 3rd interviewer. My scheduling team thinks they need to cancel all interviews and send out new invites to the original 2 interviewers. I don’t think that is accurate.
2. Do I need to cancel all interviews in this #2 scenario? If I have sent out all invites for all 3 interviewers but after the invites have been sent, we decide to change the skills assessment for 1 of the interviewers. Is it possible to update the interview plan for that 1 interviewer, cancel their interview only, and resend only their invite vs cancelling all 3 interviews and resending?

Hi @lisadembo, For scenario 1, an interviewer swap alone should not require canceling the other two interviews. For scenario 2, changing skills is different: canceling and resending only one round is not supported if all three were booked as one multi-round meeting. There is also a documentation gap around whether revised skills automatically update an already-created feedback form.

1. Replace the third interviewer before their invite is sent

Your understanding is consistent with the documented behavior, assuming the skills, feedback form, and interview structure remain unchanged:

  • Selected interviewers remain editable even on a published interview plan. Skills are assigned to the interview round, so replacing the person is distinct from changing the assessment criteria.
  • Eightfold supports replacing interviewers in an already-scheduled meeting without canceling and recreating the meeting. Existing calendar invitations are updated rather than requiring a full cancellation/rebooking.
  • If the team is using Hold interviewer time, the documented path to make changes is Resume scheduling, rather than Edit interviewers.

Based on those rules, I would not cancel the original two interviews solely to replace the third interviewer. The precise editing path depends on whether this is an unsent scheduling request, a hold, or an already-scheduled meeting.

2. Change one interviewer’s skills after all invites have been sent

There are two separate questions here:
Can the skills be changed in the plan?

Skills must be edited in the interview plan, not in the scheduling wizard. If your organization uses the publishing workflow, skills are locked after publication unless the user has permission to manage published interview plans.

Can you cancel and resend only that interviewer’s interview?

  • If the three interviews are rounds within one multi-round meeting: No—the documented cancellation/rescheduling behavior is all-or-none. You cannot cancel just one round and resend only that round through that workflow.
  • If they were scheduled as three separate meetings: The all-or-none restriction applies to rounds within a multi-round meeting, not to all meetings associated with an interview plan. A standalone meeting has its own cancellation/rescheduling action.

Before canceling anything, confirm: Are these three separate scheduled meetings, or three rounds in one scheduling record? Then have Support validate whether changing the affected round’s skills updates its existing feedback form. That will determine whether any rebooking is actually needed.
