I am leading a global team tasked with growing our Talent Network within Eightfold and we’re running into some challenges tracking the new talent that we’re importing from external sources or anyone that may stumble upon our landing page and click to join our Talent Network. We have several ideas however each requiring some enhancements to the Eightfold platform, so sharing here to see if any others are facing similar challenges or have implemented alternative approaches to effectively identify and engage with talent that has joined your talent network.
Primary product limitations causing challenges:
- Inability to filter candidates within Eightfold to show who has “opted-in” to our Talent Network and accepted our data privacy consent.
- Inability to create multiple Opt-In Sequence automatic emails. The same email is not relevant to every candidate being added to our database however is currently the only option.
- Inability to customize the “Join Talent Network” landing page to include drop down menus for entering Region, Field of work or Area of Interest. If implemented, we would also need the ability to filter by these fields in the candidate search.
- Issue with location not coming through upon importing via csv. Location is not a field in the csv template on the import screen.
- When importing a csv file we have no visibility to whether or not the candidates being imported are already included in another community. This can only be viewed at the profile level and needs to be added as a filter.
Sharing ideas in need of completion seeking comments from the community:
We are currently adding new candidates not previously existing in our database to a Talent Community which triggers an automatic opt-in email sequence. If the candidate does not take action to “opt-in” and accept our data privacy consent in a defined period of time, their data is purged. We have no visibility during this time to see if a candidate actually opts-in until. Considering this, as well as the product limitations above, we would like to send an initial email with a link to invite them to our Talent Network. If we do this, we would have several team members inviting new candidates to the overall talent network. Each member of them would need to be able to filter within Eightfold to see who has joined the network via their link. They would then add them to the relevant Talent Community based on the candidates field of work and experience level to begin engaging with them on a regular ongoing basis.
Questions remaining seeking comments from the community:
If we have a “Join Talent Network” link with source code specific to each team member, how could we identify them in Eightfold?
The source code is captured in the source analytics dashboard but is currently not something that we can filter by. Should it be?
